Ukraine-Russia War
Total 2025 Fatalities: Estimated at nearly 78,000.
Cumulative Russian Military Deaths: Estimated between 239,000 and 345,260 since February 2022 (as of mid-December 2025).
December Casualties: Reports from late December indicate at least 12 civilians were killed and over 70 injured in attacks between December 19 and 22, primarily in the Odesa, Dnipro, and Kharkiv regions.
Confirmed Civilian Deaths (Projected): UN figures confirmed at least 226 civilians were killed in November 2025, with similar high trends reported continuing into December.
Israeli-Palestinian Conflict (Gaza and West Bank)
Gaza Strip: As of late December 2025, at least 70,669 Palestinians have been killed since October 2023. Other estimates suggest the total violent death toll likely exceeds 100,000 when considering indirect causes.
West Bank: Between October 2023 and December 7, 2025, 1,039 Palestinians were killed, including 233 in 2025 alone.
Israel: Reported military and civilian deaths reached 2,109 by late 2025 since the conflict’s escalation.
Sudan Civil War
Civilian Deaths: Sudan became the deadliest conflict in Africa for civilians in 2025, with over 17,000 people killed between January and November.
Healthcare Targeted: In 2025, 65 verified attacks on healthcare facilities resulted in 1,620 deaths.
Other Major Conflict Zones
Myanmar: Civil war remained intense, resulting in over 13,700 deaths nationwide in 2025.
Syria: Conflict-related deaths rose to more than 9,000 over the past year.
Latin America: Gang-driven violence in Mexico, Brazil, Ecuador, and Haiti ranked these countries among the top 10 most violent globally in 2025. Ecuador specifically saw over 2,500 violent events, many targeting civilians.
Lebanon: In late December, Israeli strikes against Hezbollah targets reportedly killed at least three individuals.
World Wealth

These are just a few of particularly bad failings of humanity.
They represent a disregard for one another and for your planet.
They show a failure to use the intellect and intelligence you have for positive rather than negative.
The demonstrate immorality, greed, hatred and insanity.
They evidence no regard for equitable sharing of the Earth’s resources.
They are an impudence to the blessings you have been given.
They are plain for all to see, yet humanity continues to use its bounty on self indulgent and wasteful activities that increase harm to the majority and also to the planet which sustains all.
Yes, Lennie, I suspect, too, that the figures may be minimums, I have simply used the most authoritative estimates that I could find and erring on the side of caution as opposed to exaggeration - as is my way, rightly or wrongly.
I thank you for your comment and understanding of my aim, however, for as I expected, on publishing this I have had several unsubscribes/unfollows and a couple of nasty responses. I don't really mind that save for what it shows and what those doing it don't understand, i.e. that in rejecting the post as defaming 'God' or 'Christmas' or 'Having a good time", they actually validate the very points I was making.
